This program is an English to Chinese dictionary.
This program uses a PC version of the dictionary "Common Translation" with a considerable history and many users, but the program is brand new for Android.
Its characteristics are:
1. A single APK file contains compressed font library. You don’t need to download additional font library and can be used after installation.
This part is mainly because we have developed a simple read-only DB engine that directly reads compressed data, which is suitable for read-only data search.
2. Install the preset to the SD card. After installing it to the SD card, only use the mobile phone to remember about 30KB.
3. Completely free, available offline, and there are no advertisements
4. You can use the system built-in TTS pronunciation (usually you also need to enter "Settings/Voice Input Device and Output Device/Text to Voice Settings/Installation Voice Materials" to enable TTS)
5. The display font can be enlarged/reduced and this setting will be remembered
Because online resources are already abundant, this dictionary is positioned as "offline" and "simplified", so that dictionary can be checked when it is not possible to access the Internet outside. The nearly 140,000 font library should be enough for ordinary people.
I can write this program because I occasionally have to use dictionaries offline. It is not difficult to write an Android version when there is a translation library in the past. After completing it, I will share the results with everyone.
However, my main business is to develop information systems for enterprises. The Action APP is just to write it in my spare time, so the full translation version will definitely not appear in the short term. Please encourage those who love to use it so that I can share more works!
